Bodies in suitcases: Woman arrested in South Korea found ‘hiding in apartment’

The 42-year-old woman arrested over the death of two children whose bodies were found in suitcases in South Auckland, was discovered “hiding in an apartment” in Korea, NZ Herald reports. The two children who died were a girl and a boy born in 2009 and 2012. The arrest warrant was issued by the Korean Courts as a result of a request by NZ Police, who have applied to have her extradited back to New Zealand to face the charges. The bodies of the children, aged between five and 10, were found by a family who had unwittingly bought the suitcases from a South Auckland storage unit as part of an auction for abandoned goods.
