Two women have been left terrified after an attempted carjacking in Auckland, Newshub reports, in an incident that saw a man jump out at the victim’s car before chasing after her down the street. The woman was driving relatively slowly due to poor weather when she saw the man on the side of the road. “As soon as I got closer to him, he jumped at my car… I had quick reflexes and I flat-footed it… I was so scared – I was shaking.” The incident was the latest in what appeared to be a string of carjackings in Auckland. Other recent carjackings included a doctor having his car stolen at gunpoint in Auckland’s Remuera last month.
