Waiheke, Devonport ferries left out of public transport fare cut

Waiheke and Devonport local board officials say they are shocked and disappointed by the news that neither ferry service will be included in the Government’s half-price reduction scheme. Jan O’Connor, deputy chairwoman of the Devonport local board, was blunt in her reaction. “It’s incredible, I’m shocked. Absolutely appalled the Government aren’t extending it to our service – the busiest ferry in Auckland,” she told Stuff.
