The Kiwi version of the Appalachian Trail stretches from Cape Reinga in the north to Bluff 3600km away in the south, says NZ Herald. The Auckland trail starts at coastal Mangawhai, and part of the beauty of Te Araroa is that you can do it at your own pace, in your own time.
