Auckland Transport has rolled out nine electric buses that will run on the new AirportLink service between Manukau and Auckland Airport, NZ Herald reports. The buses, which will be operated by Go Bus, were built by Yutong (a Chinese company) with support from JW Group. They have a capacity of up to 78 passengers and can operate a full shift on a single charge. Auckland Mayor, Phil Goff, said the buses will reduce the carbon emissions from Auckland’s transport network and help them in achieving their climate change goals.
