The New Zealand government has been urged to translate the COVID Tracer app into different languages, Newshub reports. The call comes despite the Ministry of Health offering COVID-19 messaging in 24 other languages, for people who don’t speak English as their first language, including Korean, Punjabi, Somali and Samoan. The Ministry of Health said the Tracer App will support other languages in future releases, but the project was put on the back burner due to other priority updates.
