A 20-year-old man has been charged over an incident where a person was forcibly taken from their home to a nearby ATM, RNZ reports. The incident unfolded from shortly before 11pm Sunday when police received a report of a kidnapping from a Methuen Road property in the Auckland suburb of New Windsor. The alleged offender also crashed his car into another vehicle. Meanwhile, the victim had to be taken to hospital to have a minor arm injury treated, police said.
