Jurassic Park actor Sam Neill has become a Sir at a ceremony in Auckland on Tuesday, Newshub reports. Sir Sam was given the honour in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list in June 2022, after initially declining the title in 2009. However in 2022, he said he had had a change of heart and accepted the title to increase the value placed on his profession, making him a Knight Companion of the Order of New Zealand for services to acting. “Redesignated K.C.N.Z.M ( Knight ). Dame Cindy [Kiro] was kind enough to tap me with the sword. Big day, very grateful,” he tweeted.
