Michael Hill’s Takapuna store closes after multiple ram-raids

A Michael Hill store in Auckland’s North Shore is closing its doors after several burglaries and ram-raids, RNZ reports. The Takapuna shop has been hit three times this year. Chief executive Daniel Bracken said the Takapuna store was the most targeted of their branches in the country. The closure was for the immediate safety of its customers and employees, he said. Bracken said the decision was made with a heavy heart, but the company could not see any alternative.
