Auckland’s food truck The White Lady, a popular late night takeaway for generations, has been granted a 12-month reprieve to continue operating, RNZ reveals. Owner Max Washer said they were award of escalating violence in the city but reassured people the area around the food truck was probably “the safest in the city at night”. He promised that all rubbish caused by any celebrations as well as footpath congestion would be managed in accordance with ongoing work with Auckland Council.
