Experts, academics and lawyers met in Auckland again this week to draft a joint submission from Koi Tu – the Centre for Informed Futures – at the University of Auckland, RNZ reveals. It was a follow-up to a bigger gathering seven days earlier where there was enthusiasm about a new public media platform backed by greater funding from Government. But concerns were expressed about the possibility of political influence over the new body, and this week TVNZ CEO Simon Power stated the Bill was “poorly constructed”.
