It will now be easier for the Police to seize illicit assets of criminals under a law change announced by the Government, NZ Herald reports. The changes amend the Criminal Proceeds (Recovery) Act, expanding its measures to cover associates. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said there aren’t many countries who have ventured into this space. “This is the next frontier.” Ardern said there were tests in place to make sure the right people were being targeted, including listening to experts and police.
