NZ Herald reporter Bernard Orsman runs through the policies of some of the chasing pack for one of the most demanding political jobs in the country. The 2022 Auckland mayoral election will be held on 8 October, and while several candidates seem more obvious to the public eye, there are even more minor candidates eager to press forward with their visions, ideas and plans for the Super City. But unless we actually take this chance to consider at who and what they are representing, we run the risk of low voting turnouts and perhaps even too many cases of unhappy “in hindsight” Aucklanders.
