An Auckland e-scooter rider was tossed into the air after a horrifying crash with a car on Friday night, NZ Herald reports. The vehicle quickly left the scene, leaving the “seriously hurt” scooter driver lying on the ground. A nearby resident later told the Herald she heard a commotion after 10pm on the same street where the crash occurred. She claims she heard police smashing open a door which she believed to be at the property where the alleged hit-and-run vehicle was parked outside. Police said charges had not yet been laid.
