A North Shore community provider that houses electronically monitored convicted offenders, and alleged offenders awaiting a court date, has been taking its residents to the Albany Stadium Pool in Auckland, Stuff reports. However, one member of the public said she had witnessed behaviour at the pools that had made her question whether it was appropriate for monitored offenders to be there. The Department of Corrections says it has recommended increased supervision of alleged offenders on electronically monitored bail during visits to public pools.
