Heavy rain, severe gales to lash Auckland

Heavy rain and severe gales will lash parts of the North Island over the coming days, Newshub reports. MetService warns of heavy rain and gales for parts of the country, with 15 weather warnings and watches issued across New Zealand. Parts of the North Island will also get battered by severe gales, with a strong wind watch issued for Northland, Auckland, Great Barrier Island, Tararua District, Wairarapa and Wellington.
