Top Auckland puppy breeders were found guilty of neglect, Stuff reports, after a number of their dogs were found tethered without access to water and living in filthy conditions. The mother-daughter duo still deny any wrongdoing, claiming it was a conspiracy by the SPCA to take their best breeding stock from the puppy farm in South Auckland. But SPCA chief executive Andrea Midgen said it was one of the “most horrendous cases” of neglect by breeders, that inspectors had seen.
