East Auckland locals are being urged to step up to help make the Middlemore Foundation’s ‘Jammies in June’ campaign a success, Times reports. The initiative encourages the public to give what they can and provides warm pyjamas, blankets, beanies, socks and slippers to children in need in South Auckland. “There’s a lot of families who are doing it tough, and it is such an easy thing to do that is quite [a bit more] tangible than giving a monetary donation,” says The Secret Garden Preschool’s manager, Sheryl Dale.
