But the co-CEO of Joyous – an Auckland-based software startup – wants to help more women, Māori and Pasifika people, plus non-university grads, into the industry. Like many industries in Aotearoa, technology looks white and male, with only a quarter of women, and less than 7% of Māori and Pasifika people, being represented in the sector.
