Favourite places to take a refreshing dip include Cornwallis Beach, which is part of the Waitākere Ranges Regional Park, Blockhouse Bay, an historical reserve on the edge of Manukau Harbour, and Maraetai Beach, known for its crystal clear waters and the generous scoops of ice-cream from Maraetai Wharf Cafe.
