Northern Bass festival has been cancelled

Organisers of the Northern Bass festival posted a statement to Instagram on Wednesday afternoon, saying they’ve made the call to can the re-scheduled dates set for later this month, Stuff reveals. They say they had to consider Northland’s vaccination rates “not being what they need to be,” to put on the three-day event, as well as the growing threat of Omicron. “At the end of the day, we had to make the decision that keeps the majority as safe as possible,” they wrote.
