A Canadian man who spent two years homeless in Auckland after running into visa trouble has been given the right to temporarily remain in New Zealand, Stuff reveals. Compton, whose last name Stuff has agreed to withhold, lost his home, job, savings, belongings and visa when his relationship ended in 2019, and ended up living on the streets in Auckland. He says his prospects are good if he is granted the right to work in New Zealand, with promising conversations about jobs already underway.
