Waiatarua Reserve (featuring large, grassy areas alongside the biggest urban wetland restoration project in the country), Macleans Park (a spacious and scenic green space in Eastern Auckland), Meola Reef Dog Park (the only fully fenced off-leash dog park in central Auckland) and Auckland Botanic Gardens (stunning gardens that are also surprisingly dog-friendly) all make the list as must-see places for dogs and their humans.
