Auckland Marathon: 8000 entrants run through the city, celebrating 30 years

Postponed from its original date of 31 October 2021, the Auckland Marathon celebrated its 30th anniversary on 23 January 2022, Stuff reports. Over 8,000 participants competed in the wheelchair, full, half and 11km marathons. Entrants in the Auckland Marathon are of all ages, with the youngest being 10 years old and the oldest being 85. Participants of the marathon have donated nearly $300,000 to charities.
