A doll’s house built in secret by World War II pilots has been returned after it was mistakenly given away, Stuff reports. The house was made by an RAF trainee pilot, who enlisted the help of other trainees. They worked on it in secret, stealing bits of wood from the workshop. Patricia’s Doll’s House – named after the daughter he feared he might not see after going to war – was handed down through the family, but mistakenly got handed out during a ‘spring clean’. When the story emerged on social media, the couple who had received the heirloom immediately returned it to the family.
