Mt Hobson Academy, an Auckland-based private school which caters to years 11-13, is offering an online-only option for unvaccinated teachers, Stuff reports. The offer comes as the deadline for the Covid-19 vaccine mandate for educators and school staff nears. Villa Education Trust’s Alwyn Poole said the mandate would result in some “very good teachers” no longer being able to work person-to-person in schools. Mt Hobson Academy had received 30 to 40 expressions of interest since posting the advertisement on Sunday, he said.
