Lockdown-fatigued Aucklanders now have hope of a Christmas outside the City of Sails, NZ Herald reports. Some of the basic questions which are discussed include: “When can I leave? Do I need to be vaccinated or test negative for Covid-19? How long will these requirements stay in place?” Recognising that many Aucklanders travel north for the summer and Northland houses many vulnerable people, police will be engaging iwi and Māori health providers to ensure travel is enabled but safe.
