Weather over Labour Weekend has been a two-layer affair for Auckland, but local naturists weren’t put off by a nip in the air, Stuff reports. On Nude Gardening Day, the Saturday of Labour Weekend, members of the 1600-strong NZ Naturist Federation were out planting, pruning and weeding, without the restrictions of clothes. For green-fingered naturists, it’s the only way to garden. “I’m always planting something,” says Alice Dewet, secretary of the Auckland Outdoor Naturist Club. “You’re outdoors, you’ve got this natural set-up – you might as well be nude.”
