Sending health workers from across the country to help with Auckland’s Covid-19 response could leave other regions in the lurch, the nurses’ union says. Auckland’s three metro district health boards have requested staff, such as intensive care unit nurses, to help with its Covid-19 response, Stuff reveals. But Kate Weston of New Zealand Nurses Organisation says, “[We] need to make sure local responses are not being negatively affected by the generosity of people providing support where it’s needed in Auckland.”
