Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds – one of the country’s biggest venues and host to events for more than 160 years – has gone into liquidation, RNZ reports. According to Kim Campbell, former chair of the showgrounds, the development followed ongoing disagreements with the landlord, the Cornwall Park Trust. The showgrounds postponed a Collectors Car sale event due to take place this weekend. The venue was also due to host the Auckland Food Show, Home Show and Baby Show in coming weeks.
