Shortage of building materials prompts warnings of another leaky home crisis

New Zealand could be in for another leaky home crisis, as a shortage of building materials leaves some builders desperate and using any products they can get their hands on, TVNZ reports. Central Auckland’s Victopia apartment block happens to be one of the biggest victims of the crisis, which has already cost the Government, councils and homeowners hundreds of millions of dollars. The Business Ministry is looking at strengthening the CodeMark process as a quick fix though any new regulations, but this is not expected until early next year.
