Police are investigating after reports someone fired blank rounds at another person, at a north Auckland petrol station in the early hours of Tuesday morning, Newshub reports. The incident took place at about 4:15am at a Z petrol station on Whangaparāoa Rd, partway along the peninsula. A blank round is a type of firearm cartridge that generates a flash and a loud noise, like any other gunshot, but doesn’t shoot ammunition.
