Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board is asking for more feedback regarding the Arthur Grey Low Traffic Area trial in Onehunga, before moving forward with the next steps of the project, Auckland Council announces. Low Traffic Neighbourhoods are low speed, low volume, people-friendly areas that allow vehicles access but prevent them from dominating or using the location as a short-cut. The trials are being conducted around Arthur Street and Grey Street in Onehunga and Eastview Road in Glen Innes, backed by a grant awarded to the local board by Waka Kotahi – the New Zealand Transport Authority – as part of the national Innovating Streets for People Pilot Fund.
