Unsung heroes in the community will be recognised and honoured in a special awards ceremony in Auckland this weekend, Stuff reports. The inaugural New Zealand Indian Community and Business Awards, to be attended by community leaders and dignitaries, will be held this Friday, April 23, at the Barfoot & Thompson Stadium in Kohimarama. Key dignitaries attending will be National Party leader Judith Collins, Labour’s Minister for Social Development Carmel Sepuloni, Race Relations Commissioner Meng Foon and other MPs.
