A 77-year-old man is facing a charge of careless driving causing death, after a five-year-old girl died after being struck by a car outside her school, Stuff reports. Pigeon Mountain Primary School student Joanna Kong was hit by the vehicle at her school in Bucklands Beach, east Auckland, on March 23. She was taken to Starship Children’s Hospital in a critical condition, and died five days later surrounded by her family.
