The Auckland Central City Library is closed until further notice while its roof is being fixed, NZ Herald reports. The waterproof layer on the surface of the 50-year-old building is currently being replaced, which involves breaking off the concrete surface, grinding the old waterproof membrane away, and laying down a new one. It is estimated that the project will take until the end of the year. A decision on the best options for continuing to deliver library services will be made after Easter, according to a spokesperson.
