A man who allegedly evaded officers by jumping into the water on Auckland’s North Shore and subsequently swimming away has been arrested, but he’s not the man police initially thought he was, Newshub reports. Sean Broderick, 53, has several warrants for his arrest and was thought to have been spotted by officers on Wednesday morning near the Greenhithe wharf. He jumped into the water before swimming across to Paremoremo. However, it was revealed the man was not Broderick but a 43-year-old patched gang member allegedly breaching his bail.
