The Sudima Auckland Airport MIQ facility was evacuated on Wednesday when a contractor doing maintenance work accidentally set the fire alarm off, Stuff reports. The contractor then accidentally set off the alarm again just over an hour later, a managed isolation and quarantine (MIQ) spokesman said. Fire and Emergency NZ (FENZ) were called to the managed isolation hotel twice on Wednesday. The fire alarm first went off at 11.30am and the hotel was evacuated, but FENZ found the cause was a “false alarm.”
