Auckland councillors will meet officials from the Department of Internal Affairs next week to consider the Government’s proposed Three Waters reforms, Stuff reports. But at least one Auckland councillor has concerns about how the proposal could affect the City of Sails. Manurewa-Papakura ward councillor Daniel Newman said some of the proposed changes could increase costs for landowners, who face ever-increasing compliance costs as well as higher rates and water bills.
