A manager at Auckland Council, whose name was not disclosed, has left following formal complaints she allegedly bullied members in her team, NZ Herald reveals. Two former employees told the Herald they were “bullied to no end” by the manager, to the extent that they had to take antidepressant drugs to deal with the stress. Meanwhile, Governance director Phil Wilson said he was aware of three allegations of bullying and unreasonable behaviour between 2015 and 2019, and these were addressed in an appropriate manner.
