New flooring is under construction for the Mt. Albert War Memorial Hall, Auckland Council announces. The hall was opened in July 1961 and, over time, has begun to show its age and need maintenance work. The heritage building is a popular community venue which has been a host for many events, meetings, and concerts. It was closed on January 14 for the floor renewal works to begin, and bookings are not being accepted until March 15th. Other local Auckland Council venues can be booked here.
