A multi-million dollar restoration project for the Auckland Art Gallery building, will start in the later half of the year, RNZ reports. Auckland Unlimited, Auckland Council’s economic and cultural agency, noted the restoration of the 134-year-old building could take two years to complete. The makeover is estimated to cost between $10 million and $12m, and it will fix the deteriorating roof, windows and facade.
