Shaynee Manual, 24, who was involved in a “violent home invasion” has been jailed, Stuff reports. Manual was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment after she admitted a charge of aggravated burglary, before Justice Simon Moore at the High Court at Auckland. She is already serving a sentence of three years for a previous aggravated robbery. After Justice Moore handed down his sentenced he spoke directly to Manuel: “The sentence I have imposed is a lenient one given the seriousness of what you have implicated in. [People] believe you have it in you to change and there is hope for you in the future… you’ve been thrown a lifeline, grab hold of it, take every opportunity that is offered to you to improve yourself, get in to those programmes,” Justice Moore said.
