Cabinet has made face coverings mandatory on public transport in the country, RNZ reports. However, Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins said The Cook Strait ferries are exempt, and that wearing of face coverings are not required but encouraged for taxis. Hipkins also reminded businesses to ensure QR codes are prominently displayed.
