More beaches are now suitable for swimming in Auckland after dozens were deemed unsafe, RNZ reports. There are still 29 beaches in the region reported to have high levels of faecal bacteria, down from the earlier 50. Notices are in force from Whangaparaoa to Brown’s Bay on the North Shore.
