Property management company criticised for discouraging landlords from renting to tenants with intellectual disabilities

An Auckland company, Clarke Group Property Management, has been criticised for a blog post that discouraged landlords from renting to those with intellectual disabilities, reports Newshub. The blog post was titled “15 Fatal Mistakes New Zealand Landlords Make When Signing a Tenancy Agreement”. The blog post said that “complications can arise” when renting to those with mental disabilities as their mental state “can often be unpredictable”. The post has since been deleted by the company.
