Covid-19 response minister Chris Hipkins has announced that two close contacts (the husband and a hairdresser) of a new Covid-19 community case in Northland have tested negative for the virus, Stuff reports. Hipkins also mentioned that at this stage, it’s still too early to tell how the woman contracted the virus nor is there not enough evidence of a community transmission. The woman had around six close contacts and officials are seeking to test and isolate them while they await results. The woman visited 28 businesses, including cafes, bars and shops, before she tested positive for Covid-19.
