The Auckland property market ended 2020 with sales that were more than double those recorded on average in December over the past five years, says the Herald. Peter Thompson, Managing Director of Barfoot & Thompson, reports they sold 1,479 properties in December, at an average price of $1,092,518 and median value of $1,005,000. Economists forecast that national house prices could increase by as much as 13%-16% in the next few months.
