News that 11 tracks in the Waitākere Ranges are now open in time for summer, following upgrades to make them safer and to reduce the spread of kauri dieback, has delighted Waitākere Ranges Local Board. Board Chair, Greg Presland says, “Having safe, open tracks that people can use this summer is great news for all concerned and it is a testament to the hard mahi that the council is putting into this project to get the ranges opened up in a safe manner that significantly reduces the risk of spreading kauri dieback disease.”
