A sudden fire at Ponsonby Intermediate on Tuesday seemed destined to cancel the school’s graduation on Thursday. Stuff reported the facility was being closed down for the rest of this week. However, Western Springs College has stepped in and will now host the Prizegiving and Year 8 Graduation for Ponsonby Intermediate on Thursday. Ponsonby Intermediate principal Nick Wilson said the college had given the school a “real gift”.
